What I like best are your practical, common sense solutions. Like moving Israel to northwest Texas. Brilliant. And seriously this is one of the few political blogs that are actually fun to read. Why don’t you try putting forward some ideas about what people should do, rather than why everything is going to the shitter. You obviously have an attentive (if somewhat stupid, gullible, naive, hateful etc) audience.

Shrinkley’s comment tries to debase my opinions, and manages to undermine junaman instead.
Junaman has *very* little to say that is nice, but, unlike shrinkley, I believe that junaman’s ideas are worth being published.
Why don’t I put forward ideas? Because I can’t be bothered. This blog is hardly the best place to have an intelligent, constructive debate. The vast majority of comments are rants; hateful, senseless and without justification. Shrinkley’s comments fit well into these categories. I don’t feel the need to impress my philosophies upon a bunch of nuts. That said, there are *some* good contributors to this site.
Just because I comment on the site does not mean I am one of the many stupid, gullible, naive, hateful people who also comment.
I don’t think personal attacks are particularly constructive in revealing some of the intelligent ideas behind junaman’s posts.
About backing up my comments with examples, I think it is fair to say that shrinkley embodies everything that is stupid, gullible, naive, hateful on this site.

Perhaps a little bit more of the latter would be appreciated. Being a liberal shock jock doesn’t help half as much as proposing some good ideas.

If you find yourself reacting, especially emotionally, to a person’s weakness or faults, chances are 99.9% certain that you also have that weakness yourself. What faults you find and dislike in others is probably a fault that you recognize and dislike in yourself.

A good example is that your arrogance reminds me a little of my own arrogance that I dislike in myself. Therefore I see it in you.

So I am arrogant because I rightly point out that there are racist, hateful, bigoted people on this site. Well, next time I will keep my mouth shut. After alli, ignorance is bliss.
My point is:
Alot of people on this site have formed very hateful, unfair opinions of their own, and that there really isn’t any point trying to convince them otherwise. Go to any of the posts, especially about 9/11 or anything that gets the blood boiling, and these people come out to play.
I don’t mean to take a swipe at people who honestly believe in what they are saying, but browse through some of these pages and I am sure you will agree with me.
