Vote – Unless You’re a Republican

4 November, 2006 at 11:14 pm | In Incompetence Exposed | 54 Comments

Now really, what else was I gonna call this?

With the mid term elections just three days away, the Democrats are dead . Right?

John Kerry has gone and retarded his rhetoric, which was further retarded by the GOP rhetoric, and further yet spun, woven and contorted (read: retarded) by the media. No reply from the left has been issued.

Olbermann’s Special Comment from a few days ago.

That just about makes Iraq obsolete because the evil Democratic Party hates troops.

New voting machines have seen discrepancies, leave no paper trail, and will confuse the old folks. Some states have done their best to persuade poor people that voting is an unnecessary evil, going out of their way to make sure complications will arise – like requiring a Cayman Islands bank account number to vote. Or god forbid: a photo ID – I mean requiring a photo ID to vote is like requiring a mainstream publication of your name each time you visit a brothel. And yes, I did just compare voting to prostitution.

All political campaigns have been based on smear, like a large barrel of ghee enshrouding your television screens, newspapers, radios and interwebs.

So will the Republicans sweep through both houses, and are the Democrats dead?

Yes… unless you want them to be.

Don’t you ever feel that it’s stupid to contemplate whether something like Kerry’s botched joke will change the results of the election, when it is YOU who are voting. The American people get to decide what changes the election. And if you know that what Kerry said was a JOKE, and that Bush’s cronies are a bunch of morons, then don’t let that discount your valid Democratic vote.

Is it important? Does your vote matter?

No…

You’re just one of a massive 300 million people… only three of whom bother to vote.

You see, your vote doesn’t count, but it would count even less if you didn’t vote…
Just like you have to buy that lottery ticket each week – you could win! Except this won’t be money, but that warm fuzzy feeling you get deep inside of you when you realise that democracy works – and there’s still only a 14 million to one chance of that happening!

But will the Democrats be better for America? Are they not just two sides of the same coin?

Total Democrat Republican Independent
Ayes: 253 (58%)   34 219 0
Nays: 168 (39%)   160 7 1
No Vote: 12 (3%)   7 5 0
Total Democrat Republican Independent
Ayes: 65 (65%)   12 53 0
Nays: 34 (34%)   32 1 1
No Vote: 1 (1%)   0 1 0

According to these statistics: Yes. 34 Democrats in the House and 12 in the Senate voted to take away your freedoms.

But while that is true, what you must understand is that the Republicans are much, much worse. Do not think that not voting will make you look dignified, pal. Don’t take your democracy for granted or they’ll liberate you. The Democrats are all that you have – They are the better side of the coin.

The heads, to the GOP tail…gating downwards spiral into hell.

So as you would Satan, over god:

Vote Democrats… the less irritating of the TWO “Political Parties” in your great free land.

  1. I intend to vote Democrat. In fact, I just posted a post about Bush’s way of dealing with detainees and blocking lawyers from representing them. He’s been undermining the Constitution and laws that have been around ever since the inception of America.

  2. Gee thx. I’m not anti-Bush so I must be an idiot and shouldn’t be allowed to vote. As usual a useful informative and balanced article posted on torrentspy. Surprising that theres nothing on Saddam being sentenced to death…

OH and just for the record, had Bush made a joke anywhere close to what Kerry did, I’m sure he’d have every possible liberal nitwit on his ass.

VOTE… for whoever you want. Thats democracy. Left or Right.

  3. That’s lovely and all, but I could have gotten the same message from the political advertisements on my television. Sorry.

  4. I agree, and am glad someone can speak out loud against our current political situation we are in. We have so many crooks in office right, it’s saddening and maddening at the same time. Hopefully the upcoming November election will be a move in the right direction away from the culture of corruption that has been displayed by the GOP.

  5. That was possibly the worst article I have ever read. You say that Democrats want to take away our freedoms, but Republicans are worse. And you want to allow only certain people to vote- THAT is tyrannical.

  6. I totally agree with you, I’m from the UK but follow in disgust the invasive use of the NSA and its Echelon system. Principles like freedom and basic representation have to exist in a fair and just world, if this is only the start, it’s essential to get the republicans out now before god knows what else becomes the norm.

  7. Love the God vs Satan graph…genuis.

Sums up elections nicely regardless of where in the world you get to vote.

But that is democracy and we shouldn’t have it anyother way…

  8. Great to hear the good people from the U.S may vote for the lesser of two evils but watch out! Here in the U.K we did this to the Torys and now ended up with something not even close to a Labour party as I see it.
FOR YOURSELVES AND THE REST OF THE WORLDS SAKE, PLEASE TAKE INCOMPETENSE INCs ADVICE AND VOTE DEMOCRAT AS YOUR RESIDENT EVIL.

  9. That graph is priceless.

  10. Too bad both sides are the same: lame rich white balding asses who don’t give two cares about minorities, the poor, offspring that isn’t their own or of their league, and the like.

  11. Since You Clearly have no idea about the current political landscape in america, i figure it’s my duty to inform your incompetence.

first, nancy pelosi and her buddies john kerry and hillary clinton on the far left are quite possibly the only people in the united states as evil as lucifer

second, the first thing they are going to do is raise taxes for every person in america.

third, they would instantly cut and run out of iraq destabilizing the whole middle east, and leaving america and the rest of the world at serious risk of attack.

that sure doesn’t sound like the better of two evils to me.

  12. That’s lovely and all, but I could have gotten the same message from the political advertisements on my television. (Epsilon)

And I could have gotten the same info from the network evening news…

Hopefully the upcoming November election will be a move in the right direction away from the culture of corruption that has been displayed by the GOP. (leo)

Don’t tell me that you are one of those people that thinks the Democratic party is as clean and pure as the wind-driven snow….The Republicans aren’t perfect, but at least when an issue arises, they take care of it (e.g. Mark Foley: gone! Ted Kennedy: Still in)

Proud to be a stay-the-course Republican

  13. Both parties sicken me sometimes, but I’ll be voting Republican right down the line since they are the lesser evil of the two. I’m voting for my pocketbook & the safety of our country.

  14. Wow! I appreciate being told not to vote, when it is something I truly appreciate being able to do. And then having more of the John Kerry “joke” shoved down my throat is wonderful, too. It may be easy for some to say “it was just a joke”, but are you military? Is your spouse? or a friend or loved one? My husband is in hte military and NOT republican, but he took great offense to the “joke”. But, since he is not a democrat, he apparently does not count, even after 2 deployments huh?

Sorry, I will still be voting on Tuesday, and proud to vote.

  15. I AM THE CONSERVATIVE REVOLUTION, I AM THE VOICE OF THE MASSES, I AM THE TRUTH BEHIND THE LIES. THIS ERA OF LIBERAL OPPRESSION IS AT AN END.

  16. To all republicans:
The title there is what we in our land like to call a “joke”.
With regards to jokes Bush has made, the Daily Show did a nice segment on this, I’ll see if I can find it later… There have been many jokes, and none have had “every liberal nitwit on his ass.”
Also, the Republicans are far, far from what anyone sane would call conservative…

he Republicans aren’t perfect, but at least when an issue arises, they take care of it (e.g. Mark Foley: gone!

Issue arose almost 6 or so years ago. The issue arises when someone STARTS doing something wrong, not when it is publicly released to the media…

  17. as a veteren of america’s only trying war, not to mention the longest, i didn’t think john kerry’s joke was appropriate regardless of the context. and junaman you constantly give away all credibility when you start to use the daily show in a serious debate like it is a highly respect news outlet.

  18. Oh it is… and this coming from someone whose blog is a paraphrasing of the Colbert Report, except with no irony…

  19. the name of my blog aside i have my own opinions in my blog, and i don’t use the colbert report as support i just modeled it after the o’reilly factor, which the colbert report imitates…and how is the daily show credible exactly last time i check it was just satire

  20. If anyone thinks voting in democrats will change anything is sadly mistaken. Both parties are more corrup then ever. Both parties will take away whatever they want and make sure they are the ones to benefit, and both parties blow more smoke up our ass then should be allowed without more questions of what the definition of “is” is.

  21. This is why I don’t like Republicans or Democrats! Just because this JA is on TV-he thinks he knows everything. I don’t agree with either side. Both continue to argue and point fingers rather than get together and actually sovel some problems.

  22. “If anyone thinks voting in democrats will change anything is sadly mistaken. Both parties are more corrup then ever. Both parties will take away whatever they want and make sure they are the ones to benefit, and both parties blow more smoke up our ass then should be allowed without more questions of what the definition of “is” is.”

Corruption will always exist when people seek to use others for their own gains, to step over them to get what they want. Capitalism is a highly competitive system that only allows the “best” or those best at cheating and using, to make it out on top. It’s not about pure ability or competence, it’s “everyone for himself.” Ayn Rand brilliantly expresses this fact throughout her book, Atlas Shrugged. If you expect no corruption in politics, then you’re merely dreaming. Men will always be selfish and manipulative and greedy, fatal flaws. Greed is one of the seven deadly sins.

  23. Things WILL change if the Dems become a majority…they intend to hold hearings to investigate the worst of this Admin’s transgressions, like spying, torture, and corruption esp. among companies doing business in Iraq. That’s a big deal. See my post, “VOTE!” on my blog, “Dirty Laundry.”

  25. Vote Democrat

  26. …and if you’re John Kerry, please leave the comedy to the professionals, before you screw it up for the rest of us…

    http://markdaycomedy.wordpress.com/2006/11/04/the-wit-and-wisdom-of-john-kerry/

  27. “That’s lovely and all, but I could have gotten the same message from the political advertisements on my television. Sorry.”

Ditto…this is the stupidest post I have ever seen (though I think it was maybe written just to get a lot of comments).

Before you go off and blindly vote for/against anyone because of party affiliation, consider several things:
Bush did not lie…he said we had “reason to suspect that Saddam Hussein has acquired or is close to acquiring WMDs”, and according to several countries (including France, whom Saddam approached and who was against the war), he was.
They found the WMDs, not quite as dramatic as expected (so-called “experts” argue over whether they’d be of any use), but aforementioned media doesn’t like to report that.
If you pay attention to which specific lawmakers actually vote for/against which laws, you will find out that the “party line” of any party is a bunch of hogwash.
Several loudmouth politicians in both parties hog all the attention and spout lies for political gain, which is why unless you follow the previous step you will never know anything about the decent people in both parties who have an uphill battle getting anything useful done “for the people” at all.
The reason most people end up without what they desired when they voted is they don’t bother to find out who really does what before they vote for them.
People in both parties just love it when they can lead you around like cattle and make you freak out over what some individual with problems does, like the Republican guy who sends inappropriate interns or the Democratic President (Clinton) who has sex with them. Nevermind that none of those personal moral shortcomings have absolutely nothing to do with one’s political party.
If you don’t find out your individual Congressmen’s voting records before you vote, you really are the moron they think you are and like you to be.
If you stay home and let all their campaign contributors do the voting, they like that even better.

Don’t be a moron! Find out the voting records for the people up for election in your area! Then vote! (And register independent so you can vote for whoever you want in primaries, for crying out loud, why do you let them dictate to you?)

  28. Oh yes, a vote for the Democrats is a vote for the terrorists, who happen to be hoping for a Democratic victory. I will be voting Republican without a doubt because unlike the left, I love our troops and appreciate the war they are waging on TERRORISTS.

And wholeshebang — you might want to take a government class or two. There are many states that Independents are not allowed to vote in Republican or Democrat primaries. But, hey, do what you like:)

  29. The lesser of two evils would be a vote for republicans. Sadly, they suck too. It’s too bad we don’t have very many decent third party runners.

  30. Why you need to vote anyway:

    http://hamptonslegal.wordpress.com/2006/11/06/why-you-need-to-vote-anyway/

  31. Your reasoning, no matter which party the reader belongs to, is rather inaccurate and simplistic. I realize blogging basically gives anyone an opportunity to utter their opinion or even give advice … yet still, I feel obligated to protest the poor analytics of this particular post.

Every single individual vote which is cast does count. Any one who tells you otherwise is a fool at the least. Never be discouraged from casting your one, single vote. It is a precious and valued right that has been paid for dearly by men and women of honor.

    ~firefly

  32. I agree with you on one point. The polling machines. I have been saying so ever since they came out. I don’t know if it is the accountant in me, but no paper trail? BAD IDEA!

I am a conservative, and I will be voting. I just wanted to let you know there is still hope. There are some issues we can agree upon without having to denagrade each other. Have a nice day.

  33. Great post. I absolutely agree with you that the Republicans are feeling the pressure and that is the reason for the recent glut of propaganda and smear campaigning on their part.

We shall have to wait and see what tomorrow brings us. Continued degradation under Republican rule or the promise of a brighter future by the Democrats?

  34. “Republicans are feeling the pressure and that is the reason for the recent glut of propaganda and smear campaigning on their part.”

And what have the democrats been doing? LOL I love it when people can’t see the forrest for the trees.

“promise of a brighter future by the Democrats? ”

Yes we can all hop in our yellow submarine and fly over the rainbow.

  35. Based upon this post, your Blog’s title “Incompetence Inc.” is quite fitting. Since your Blog’s purpose is to expose incompetence, all you need do is turn a mirror on yourself and you will have a god 30 – 40 years worth of material.

Neither party is perfect. At least the Republicans will keep out taxes low and our country safe.

  36. Keeping republicans in power is the best way to help U.S enemies get stronger every day. If you don’t think so, just look at the facts and figures.
Since Bush has been in power we’ve had the following:

    1. The first foreign attack on american soil big enough to make history.

    2. A declared holly war from muslims all over the world against the U.S.

    3. Iran and North Korea pledging to continue developing nuclear armament no matter what.

    4. In the continent: four more countries swinging to the left, that is besides Cuba and Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua, and possibly also Ecuador.

All this since Bush has been in office.

So, there we can see a few of the wonders worked by the republicans during the past eight years.

If you still think the U.S are saffer voting republican, go on sleeping comfortably on that side.

  37. Uh, wtf? The democrats are terrible, not only do they vote to take away social liberty, they ar eagainst economic liberty too. None of the parties support complete, sexual, individual, and economic liberty, and that is ridiculous. Yes at times the democrats are a lot better than the republicans but for isnatnce in Massachuetts, DEVAL PATRICK SUCKS. Not to mention Ron Paul is a republican.

  38. Allendale2…

The first attack on American soil was in the planning stages while Clinton was in office (he made them think america was a bunch of wussies)..Why don’t you research things before you state them as facts. The pledged holy war happened because we stood up to the terrorist bastards, now we could have behaved as the democrats no doubt would have and all the american women could be wearing burkas now. As far as Iran and North Korea pledging to continue making their weapons…Uh that’s not a republican thing, not even and american thing. it involves the whole world. Cuba swung left…OMG that alone makes a case FOR the republicans!

  39. @amnsisc

Care to clarify where and how the democrats want to take away social liberty? Also, whatever example you come up with, analyse it compared to the GOP’s taking away of social liberties, and then get back to me.
    Waiting to hear from you…

As for your second sentence, that’s all I’m saying. At times they are A LOT better. Hence vote for them, instead of abstaining.

  40. You know junaman you talk a pretty big game for someone who just regurgates everything they hear on countdown w/ Keith Olberman or the Daily Show. and why is it that you don’t seem to respond to 3/4 of the comments that go against you point of view, to think you where the one calling me narrow minded

  41. Mainly because they don’t raise any sort of point, and are just ad hominems…

  42. Vote – Unless You’re a Republican

Who will win the senate? George Allen, or Jim the Pedophile Webb who likes writing about 13 and 15 years olds having sex, and also likes writing about fathers having sexual relations ( incest ) with his son.
So, will Virginians vote for the pedophile,…

  43. or is it that they raisethe point that maye you too are wrong sometimes just like everyother human being

  44. FROM JUNAMAN

    “To all republicans:

    Junaman, your not american

get over it, you are an australian!!! and you better be wearing your hijab or you will get raped , its a rule of thumb

  45. So just because someone’s not an American, they can’t express concern over America?(I’m a US citizen, but if I express concern over Iraq for example, would people take offense?) To only care about one’s birth country, is too restrictive and narrow-minded. All countries are interdependent on each other. That’s just my opinion though…

  46. Not to mention that American policy effects other countries quite a bit more than your average nation…

Congressman Ron Paul, a man who truly believes in freedom, is running for the Republican nomination for president. I’m working to gather support so Congressman Paul will become a candidate.

  52. Hello, I just wanted to say you have a very informative site which really made me think, Thanks ! A site with a wealth of info.!…thanks very much! Have a nice Day!!

  53. Your site is a refreshing change from the majority of sites I have visited. When I first started visiting web sites I was excited by the potential of the internet as a resource and was very disappointed initially. You have restored my enthusiasm and I thank you for your efforts to share your insights and help the world become a better place.
